Perfectly positioned to escape the city in any direction, but there’s also an infinite choice of city-based activities at your disposal. So what’s on offer?

There’s a mix of six public sports and leisure centres, though if sterile gyms aren’t your thing, why not try something a little different? The Quay Climbing Centre features the south west’s largest indoor climbing wall.

Alternatively, The River Exe runs right through the city so you can take a canoe, kayak, or paddle board and explore the waterways. But the coast is close enough for you to get out on the open water for sailing, surfing, or jet skiing.
