We are looking for software engineers and devops engineers at all levels to join our team in developing full stack web based and mobile healthcare applications. Salary: £26,000.00-£50,000.00 per year based on experience
The right candidates will possess a technical degree in a software, maths, science or engineering discipline. Our work centres on two primary technologies, these being Java for our back-end systems, and React for the front-end. We seek developers with skill in either or both these technologies. Other desirable skills include Typescript, Next.js, Tailwind, GraphQL and SQL.
Working on a variety of projects, the successful candidates will join our development team. Operating within our Scrum method you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality software within a Continuous Delivery framework. On joining the team, you can have immediate impact and contribute across the development stages from requirements engineering, user-story development and interpretation, through use-case and UI design, to documentation, systems configuration and administration.
Employees can expect to increase your salary depending upon your progress and performance. Salary reviews are undertaken every year, and performance is considered as a part of the company’s Professional Development Programme approximately every 6 months. We include within this offer 22 days holiday each year, plus public holidays, rising by one day with each full year of employment to a maximum of 25 days.

Main Purpose of the job:
As a DevOps engineer you will work with the development team and the Technical Director to implement the company’s DevOps strategy. This includes the development of a self-service Internal Development Platform that enables the development team to take application code from development through to production. You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, develop IaC and maintain configuration management systems. You will be responsible for optimising and maintaining the company's computing, infrastructure. You will work proactively with the Technical Director and the development team to drive improvement, manage security, and optimise performance. You will be working within and assisting in developing an Information Security Management System based on ISO27001..
Main Duties and Accountabilities:
● Assist the Technical Director in developing and delivering the company’s DevOps strategy.
● Developing and implementing a new internal development platform.
● Developing and implementing the company’s cloud computing strategy.
● Ensuring a reliable computing environment throughout the company.
● Developing and maintaining configuration management systems.
● Supporting the development team in delivering production systems.
● Monitoring and maintenance of company systems.
● Ensuring site reliability and security compliance.
● Supporting staff in their use of the company’s computing facilities.
● Managing and undertaking the program of system updates, including recommending priorities and scheduling of the work.
● Coordinating and supporting the team to complete IT audits, such as Cyber Essentials+ and the NHS DSPT and ensuring systems compliance.
● Maintaining the workstation infrastructure and developing a new workstation and desktop plan.
